2017 Hyundai Elantra

The 2017 Hyundai Elantra is a beautiful car. Even when still, the car’s design has a very dynamic quality to it. The cuts in the rear door’s and the steeply sloping windshield , combine to give the car a very aggressive look. The four door and five seater car does feel beautiful. These were the cosmetic changes, now let’s take a look under the hood.

The 2017 Hyundai Elantra is powered by a four cylinder 1.8 I engine that generates 145 horsepower. Though having quite a bit of power at it’s disposal, it doesn’t feel engaging due to its slow throttle response, also the steering feels a bit less responsive then some other mid range cars available in the same price bracket. Other then this the new 2017 Hyundai Elantra has quite a calm and collected engine. Whether you are driving the automatic transmission variant or the manual one the engine feels quite at home at 2500 to 4500 rpm. The manual transmission variants get an Eco shift whereas the automatic variants get an active Eco mode that helps improve fuel efficiency by almost 7%.

For short distances and city commutes the 2017 Hyundai Elantra works fine , but it is not a vehicle designed for pure driving pleasure. If you are one of those person who needs to check the GPS frequently, the Elantra will work out nicely for you It has one of the bigger and better LCD screens found on mid range cars. It also comes with a rear view camera which can come in quite handy in tight spots. The Elantra has quite a lot of entertaining features for a mid range sedan It also has cruise control,CD FM players and Bluetooth with audio streaming.

The 2017 Hyundai Elantra also comes in a sportier hatchback avatar. As the Elantra has a very soft suspension it isn’t recommended for high speed driving as the car pitches and yaws at slightly higher speeds. The new Elantra isn’t very fuel efficient, in fact it lags behind a lot of its competitor’s in this aspect. The seats present on the Elantra aren’t top of the line, they could have used a little more of cushioning and bolstering, but the big redeeming feature here is its space, though the head room can be a bit tight for those sitting in the back seat The 2017 Hyundai Elantra is an excellent value for money , also the car has good safety ratings which are rare for a compact car. Due to these qualities the Elantra outstrips even the Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla .
